Orc's Bladder River Basin
A massive river system occupying the north westernmost edge of the frontier, this area is a fly infested muck hole of stagnant water and sucking mud. Named by the orc tribes that used to populate it’s shores, Orc’s bladder was believed to be the bowls of Grxx laid bare and eviscerated where he fell. Known for its— yearly flooding as the rains and subsurface water floods its banks this process is often referred to as “Flooding the Bowels” or “Breaking the Bladder”.
Large chunks of the Orcs Bladder are vernal pools, the waters evaporating into sucking mud or dry cracked mud plain during the summer and become flooded waist deep water mud slurry in the spring and fall. This facilitates a large number of rare amphibians, insects, and plants found no where else. This seasonal surge of life attracts various forms of bird and dragon life that show up to feed on the various life forms that spring up during the season including many duckbilled dragons, filter feeding birds, and nomadic tribes that have learned to capitalize on the surge. Considering the history of the region many of these creatures have developed alongside the orcs of the region and have therefore adapted their life cycle to their own, either evolving defenses that would prevent consumption or producing enough offspring to survive the annual feeding frenzies.*
