The opinions on sorcery and its practitioners runs the gamut across the Frontier and the Imperial lands, ranging from blessed hands of the prophets, speakers to the spirits, and avatars of powerful forces to untrustworthy anarchist servants of the Lords.
Much of these issues come back to the Imperial philosophy laid out in The Bartle Accord which lays out the dangers of magic given or drawn from outsiders and those who seek to use humanity toward their own ends. For this reason many sorcerers are looked upon with suspicion, their powers feared to be those of the lords given to humanity for the purposes of sowing their own agendas. As such, many with sorcerous blood must walk a fine, submitting to the scrutiny of the Imperial Cult and its inquisitors, hiding their powers in the hopes that they are not discovered, or migrating to lands where the eyes of the Empire are less focused. The latter is often the case for those citizens found in the frontier.
